I watched this documentary at the weekend all about the underground DIY rock-poster movement in America. Totally geeky, but quite interesting. Though the work produced isn't my cup of tea, it was good finding out a bit more about it, and it really really made me want to get printing again.

I just love love love this song and just love love love the tree like set that is going on in this video. Check out that delightful lemon roll-neck Glen's wearing too.

Wow wow wow.

I took myself to the wonderful and truly amazing Museum of Everything in Primrose Hill this weekend. I felt a little like a child, my eyes flitting all over the place, not knowing what to expect and wanting to run around to see it all as soon as I could because it was such a spectacle and so unique. It houses some very special artworks by makers of the outsider art movement. A genre I've always found so fascinating and original because the people behind it are untrained and do it first and foremost for themselves. Above is the work of a new find William Hawkins. I'm definitely going to be reading up on him.

Below is the work of Johann Hauser, another new discovery all thanks to the Museum of Everything.
And whilst looking at more work by Hauser on le internet, I came across Johann Fischer...God, I love this stuff!

Earlier on I headed to The Frieze art fair for the first time. I'd say 10% was good and 90% was seriously baaaaad. Good to check out nonetheless. I happily stumbled across good old David Noonan's work there, which I've only ever seen printed in a book, so that was nice.

Also nice was the work of Michaela Meise.

Old men.

Old men and children have always been my style icons. I'm not too sure what exactly the attraction is. Possibly the simplicity of what they wear and the practical nature of it. Anyway, my dear boyfriend sent me this link of some old guys modelling the Unused AW09 collection. Good stuff.

I hate perfume.

The other day I was talking about the smell of peoples' homes and how distinct they can be. How it would be nice to be able to bottle the smell so that you could, if you wanted, remember it for years to come. It reminded me of a place I went to in New York. Probably the best place I've ever been to with probably the best dog I ever met too. I hate perfume aka Christopher Brosius. He's like a magician of the scent world. The willy wonker or the fragrance scene. Think of almost any smell and he'd be able to bottle it up. I left with a bottle of burning leaves. So so lovely. It reminds me of festivals and winter.
